Its a....!!!

Well they only allowed two people in the room for the ultrasound so Jana and Donald went and the rest of us waited in the lobby. Apparently when her doctor told her the room was huge and she could bring whoever she wanted that meant the room actually isn't that big and only 2 people will fit in there. I was pretty disappointed that it worked out that way but I still was one of the first to know. Anyways....it's a girl! I'll post a picture of her when I can get a copy from Ashlyn. Shopping for her will be so much fun! I can't wait. Looks like naming her will be the next step so I'll keep you all up to date!

Finally!!

Tomorrow is the big day! I was going to be out of town when Ashlyn had her appointment to find out the sex of the baby, so she changed it-to tomorrow! I'm going with them to the appointment so I'll be amongst the first to know. It's at 10:45 which seems so far away but I guess we've already been waiting 5 months so the next 11 hours won't be that bad. Stay tuned to "Turning the Paige" for breaking news about Baby Smith. I'll let you know more when I do ;)

Hello Again

It's been awhile since I last posted, but as far as I know I haven't had anyone check to see if I'd written anyways. I guess you could say I've been busy-moving back to Lubbock, graduating to official senior status at Tech (which introduces a whole new slew of issues), taking my online class, trying to invent hobbies for myself, and trying to get my grandpa's estate in order. Just to be clear, most of the work was done by my mom, aunt and uncle, but I've been pretty involved with it as well. So I've been in San Angelo since Wednesday night attempting to get things in order for the estate sale that started this morning. (the house wasn't even on the market 48 hours when we received and eventually accepted the offer) Yesterday we had some hard core bargain finders looking around, and they were back again this morning at 6:30. We started at 8 in case you were wondering. Very chaotic day to say the least, but we got a great majority of what we wanted to sell sold. On several occasions I found someone in a room they weren't supposed to be in, going through my makeup bag asking how much. They also tried to buy Ruth's purse. Her wallet and everything were in it. It absolutely amazes me how little respect some people have for what belongs to others. I sincerely hope I have never acted in this fashion to anyone else-and if I ever do slap me. I do however know I've never stolen someone's wireless modem THAT WAS PLUGGED IN FOR USE and/or their brand new still plastic wrapped Hangover 2 DVD they bought the previous night to watch with the rest of their family. I'm not saying it happened to us...but it happened to us. I had an online final for school I had to take, and if it hadn't been for our wonderful neighbor Steve letting me use his Internet, I may have hunted them down and forced them to take my test and write my thread responses. It's been a super long day that succeeded a long night (plus it was freezing cold inside because the electrician cut off our electricity to fix something for 5 hours). I guess my point is-I'm thinking about calling it...well, a super long day and just going to bed. More sales practice in the morning, yippee!
