All Work No Play Makes Paige A Dull Girl

Ok I'm back...for those faithful few that were upset I was MIA yesterday (Ruth) ::cough cough:: and the rest of my family that can barely find my blog let alone "follow" it. There are just so many things going on down here I can barely find the time to write! Today I ironed out the details of my new job that I start tomorrow, read, watched Fox news and mopped the floor. I'm like a well educated Cinderella. In the last 7 days I've read 3 books and the first few chapters of my Classical Mythology book for class. I have also watched probably 24+ hours of news. Honestly, I didn't know it was possible to watch this much news. I'm now well versed in Irene and all the damage, a bunch of political junk and the latest scams. Apparently some lady has been selling malnourished horses online and grossed about $200,000. This must be what I've been missing all these years. Anyways back to my job. I'll be working for a guy that sells commercial real estate here in San Angelo and doing...lots of various things? I'm excited to get out of the house, but there is a problem. I don't have anything to wear! All my business type clothing is back home in Lubbock (where I'll be this weekend for some Tech football!!!!!). Mom suggested I "wear what I wore today" until I bring more clothing. Yeah, not feeling it. I'm not sure I can pull off that look quite like Quinten can. Off to the closet!

H•E•B VIP

I think I've been to the grocery store 10 times in the past week. I'm like a personal shopper minus all the perks. I don't know exactly what perks I'm missing out on but shopping for anything besides food sounds like fun. It's pretty hot...inside. Outside it's extremely hot. If I were to guess it's probably slightly cooler than the hickory house pre air conditioning. I'm considering laying some bacon out on the dining room table to see if it will cook. If it works out all I'll need is a grocery store delivery person.

Live From Iconia Tab A500

Yes, as a matter of fact I am on my new tablet! Today Aunt Ruth took me to Best Buy and we bought this fancy new device sitting on my lap. I'm still trying to figure it all out but I found out how to rent ebooks from the Lubbock library...all free of cost. That's right evil librarians~I don't need you! My Classical Mythology book came in the mail yesterday and wow it's going to be a lot of reading. I'd rather play on my new tablet :-D Mom calls the Ipad the boggling machine...this can be the blogging machine©

SOMEONE CATCH THAT BOOK THIEF!

Between running back and forth to the kitchen for refills today I went to the library to indulge in some of my favorite author-THE James Patterson. I wanted to throw my book at the librarians before I left since they wouldn't let me check it out. How many avid readers do you know that go to public libraries to steal worn out books?! I can't stay organized as it is because I have too much stuff. Like I have a place to put the extra thick Large print books. Maybe it would have helped if I told them everything I brought is in laundry baskets in the closet. OR if they knew I was at home reading on a Friday night. I ended up buying the next 2 Pretty Little Liars books at Hastings since I read the first half of the series at the beginning of the summer. James will just have to wait until I finish these. At this rate it shouldn't take long. I think my school book is supposed to arrive in the mail tomorrow so my reading may have to slow down...sadly. 1000 pages of mythology probably won't be the most interesting read of my life. Maybe I'll learn something :{)

Quite the Chef Boyardee

Taking a class at ASU didn't work out but maybe it's for the best. I could have signed up for something I didn't want to take and didn't need but I don't see much point in that. Who would have thought a week after school starts all the good classes would be full?! I'm working my poor fingers to the bone with all this gourmet cooking I'm doing (in the microwave). Tomorrow I'm supposed to sweep the back patio, which to me sounds like an excuse to lay out by the pool and take a dip! I'm afraid to go outside though because something is falling from the sky. I've heard people call it rain but I'm going with meteors since everyone in these parts knows that water doesn't just fall from the sky. I'll solve the mystery I'm sure.

10th time's a charm?

First full day in San Angelo and it was wayyy longer than I was expecting. Being a part of the Texas Tech System I thought getting registered at ASU would be much easier. According to Randal I'm responsible for the 10% increase here. Ok maybe not but I think that's why they want transcripts from my sophomore year in high school. Like I can remember the passwords to access WTC or SPC accounts. I just realized because of all these school complications that I've still yet to unpack. This is my 10th move in 3 years. That seems excessive but maybe I'm just a nomad. (&& by nomad I mean someone who moves between Idalou and Lubbock-mostly) Tech starts tomorrow so it may be a good idea to figure out how to access my distance learning class. To all my fellow Raiders that actually have to show up tomorrow-good luck! As far as socializing goes I wish I could join you all ;) Who knows what I'll be doing but I'm hoping for SAS part 2 (Semester at San Angelo) since my Semester at Sea was so phenomenal. Oooh I should put a mini MV Explorer in the swimming pool!

Ready or Not Here I come

So...here I am. We'll consider it a trial since I'm not a big fan of social networking. Yes I think it can be used in a positive way, no I don't think it actually is. I have a twitter too don't ya know..and a total of 1 follower. Wam Bam Thank Ya Ma'am. I've had it a couple weeks now but I haven't actually used it to post anything as of yet. I don't feel like I have anything worth reading about. My tweets wouldn't be revolutionary, and rest assured my bloggings won't be either. I could call them 'posts' but that's just about as boring as what I'll actually be saying. Don't get me wrong I want 'followers' but this isn't lifestyles of the rich and the famous-I do hope I can keep things interesting though. I wish I knew how all this stuff worked so at least if I'm not funny my blog will look pretty. Maybe I should buy a "blogging for dummies" to read on the way to San Angelo. If I were Michael Phelps ::sigh:: people would want to know whats happening with me. My life is ALMOST that exciting, but not quite.  I should probably be packing right now for the big move but Alyssa's here and she's such a distraction. Plus she brought me a calzone. :D
